Relaxation Classes

"Learn to Relax" is a four-week class that will teach you the skills to relax your mind and body and reverse the harmful effects of stress. You will leave each class feeling great, but also take with you practical skills you can use to relax on your own.

A registration fee of $50 includes four sessions and the book, "Words to Relax." Classes will be held in Red Deer, starting June 8. Registration deadline is Friday June 3.

Podcast Update

With the exception of a few new episodes coming soon, I will be putting new episodes of the Relaxation by Inner Health Studio podcast on hold. I am starting a second website, and need to allow the time to work on the new website and get it up and running. The podcast will still be available each week with a different relaxation download, but upcoming scripts will be recordings already featured on previous episodes.

Since 2008 I have recorded a number of different relaxation podcasts, so many of the upcoming "re-runs" may still be new to you. There are over 100 different relaxation scripts recorded to date, so please continue to download the podcast each week to get all the episodes.

Tip of the month: What Do You Need to Let Go of?

If you listen to my relaxation podcast, you may notice that lately I have done fewer new recordings than usual. With multiple demands on my time, I needed to set priorities, and something had to go.

Often we talk about "making time" for something new that we want to take on, but the reality is, you will never be able to make more time. Each day has 24 hours - and that’s it.The only way to find "more time" is to eliminate something. For me, recording new podcasts had to be put on hold to free up some time for other things.

What do you need to let go of?

If you are feeling overwhelmed, perhaps you need to consider what is taking up your time and what you need to let go. The only way you are going to find more time is to eliminate something.

Maybe it is not a task you need to let go of. Perhaps it is a thought...or a belief...or an object...or a worry...

What is taking up your time and energy? You probably have a number of important things that need your attention. But maybe there are some things that have taken up your time and effort and attention for long enough. Maybe there is something you can let go.

Is there something from the past that haunts you? Maybe now is the time to release yourself from the burden of carrying that past thing with you today.

Letting go means freedom. Freeing up time. Freeing up energy. Freeing up space.
